Hi I’m Carry,

This is really my ‘baby’. Peter, my husband, is on call as a backup and to help with any heavy lifting.

I am no potter or even accomplished artist. Truth is, I dabble in art whenever I can, and my mum – who really is a potter – has gifted me a kiln and an inherent love of ceramics.

Do I know anything about art and design? A little, I guess. I took Art all through school and did a degree in Art History and English Literature. Together those set me up for a career centred around words and images – from advertising copywriting to magazine production, publishing and website design.

One thing I know for certain is that we all have it in us to create something beautiful. These sessions aren’t about perfection, and your finished plates needn’t look a particular way or like anyone else’s. Nor should they. They can be a celebration of happy splodges or detailed and precise. What matters is that you enjoy the process and paint from the heart.
